Demi Lovato was hospitalized after overdosing on opioids. The unfortunate event happened less than a month after Demi Lovato's Tell Me You Love Me World Tour ended. The star is getting some much-needed rest as she remains in the hospital 6 days after her initial hospitalization. Her extended stay is being attributed to "complications" during her treatment.
Lovato is receiving care at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as she deals with the residuals from her overdose. The mentioned complications are reported to include high fever and nausea although these could also be signs of withdrawal.
Still, her situation was severe when she was first admitted to the hospital. Medical professionals needed to revive an unconscious Demi with Narcan when she was found in her home. Although the battle since then has been long, a source says she's on the road to recovery: "She is under the care of medical experts and is expected to make a full recovery."
Since the "Sober" singer was seen at one of her dancers' birthday party only hours before her hospitalization, many fans have placed the blame on the birthday girl, Dani Vitale. After receiving much negativity online, the dancer has since attempted to clear her name with a message posted to her Instagram account.
