While Death Grips may not be mainstream in the slightest, when they drop a new track, people pay attention. The industrial rap group that once counted Robert Pattinson as one of its members and leaked one of their albums with a picture of an erect penis as the cover art commands a deeply loyal fanbase that will follow them through anything.
Today, they've dropped the latest single off their upcoming album, Year of the Snitch, titled "Black Paint." On this song, the group aims for a lo-fi garage rock aesthetic, mixing MC Ride's grainy vocals deep into the background. The instrumental rocks out, going through several progressions and even including some low key record scratching in the back end.
