Last week when we posted the official movie poster for Deadpool 2 that shows the characters around a table having Thanksgiving dinner, mocking a famous Norman Rockman painting titled "Freedom of Want."
Now, in the latest trailer for the upcoming Marvel movie, we get to see just exactly how the painting came together, sort of. In the video below, Deadpool is mocking another painter but this time it's Bob Ross who was famous for teaching people how to paint with his video tutorials.
Throughout the two-minute teaser Deadpool, played by Ryan Reynolds, is in a full Bob Ross get-up saying he's high on cocaine while he paints a cottage in the woods. The video then cuts off to show actual clips from the movie where see brief snippets of the upcoming action. When the camera zooms back to the painting tutorial, the completed Thanksgiving dinner piece replaces the previous cottage painting.
"Would you look at that, it seems like we have ourselves a finsihed painting," Deadpool says at the end of the clip. "So from our family to yours, keep your pants dry, your dreams wet and remember hugs, not drugs."
The second installment of Deadpool is set to hit theatres on June 1st, 2018. For those who don't know, the first film followed Wade Wilson, a former Special Forces operative, who gets tortured and disfigured after a science experiment, turning him into the ever-so-likeable Deadpool.
He finds that he has fast-healing powers and plans to go after the scientist who turned his life upside down. The movie ends with a showdown of the opposite forces where Deadpool's mutant allies, Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead, show up to save the day.
