From Dave East's "Karma" mixtape with DJ Holiday.

Dave East's new project is as authentic a mixtape as they come: released for free and complete with tags from DJ Holiday. Otherwise it plays like an album, featuring big features and top-tier production. On "Militant," he teams with Don Q, a fellow New Yorker that's become a frequent collaborator of his. As a result, it's an uncompromising, gritty street record. At the same time, the hook, rapped by East, is surprisingly catchy, and its quotable enough that it could get some play in the clubs, and will certainly be heard out of cars in the city.

The project also features guest appearances from Chris Brown, Lil Durk, MoneyBagg Yo, and Kap-G. It follows East's Paranoia album released earlier this year.

East was the only feature on Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux's new mixtape No Pressure. Listen to "Blueprint" here.

Quotable Lyrics:
Lately, I've been close with Benjamin
With all camo on us we militant
Cameras stay on us, we killing shit
I woke up and went to the dealership
That's not my girl, I'm just hittin' it
Can I be friends with no benefits
I used to trap out them tenements
That Cuban look at the Dominican
