Actor Will Smith and actor/comedian Dave Chappelle are seen in attendance prior to the middleweight championship bout between Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez at T-Mobile Arena on September 15, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
LeBron James, John Mayer, Jon Stewart, and Michael Che were in attendance.

Dave Chappelle's resurgence came like a hurricane. After spending years in relative seclusion, Chappelle touched down with multiple Netflix specials. Soon after, the veteran comedian embarked on an unprecedented Radio City Music Hall run. The historical moments don't appear to be coming to a halt anytime soon in Chappelle's career, as the comedian hosted a monumental comedy event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.

As reported by Page SixChappelle invited several celebrities to perform at the Peppermint Club in Los Angeles. Performers included Jon Stewart, Michelle Wolf, Katt Williams, Michael Che, and John Mayer, who played the guitar and hit the crowd with the occasional one-liner. Will Smith also made his stand-up debut, as he filmed for a new show called The Bucket List. Apparently, getting on stage and cracking jokes was an important goal on Smith's list. His wife Jada Pinkett Smith and daughter Willow were in attendance as well.

Will joked about his son Jaden not allowing him on the "Icon" single, his wife's new talk show Red Table Talk, and also touched on his recent social media prominence. Of course, Chappelle also hit the stage, and delivered several of his signature polarizing jokes, including a witty Louis C.K. reference and a Kanye West/Jack Johnson comparison.
