Curren$y may not be releasing music at the ridiculous pace that he was doing last year, but that doesn’t mean he hasn't been putting in the work. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite as the New Orleans rapper has already released four projects in 2017 this far, and has many more on the way.
Before we’re treated to upcoming project with Freddie Gibbs, Big K.R.I.T, Don Cannon, & Harry Fraud to name a few, Curren$y is going to link up with producer Lex Luger and treat fans to a 5th project this year called The Motivational Speech EP, which is expected to drop this weekend on September 30th. Looking to give us a taste of what's to come before it arrives, Spitta decides to come through today and share a new song & accompanying video called “Pressure.”
Just as the title depicts, the New Orleans rapper “applies the pressure” and effortlessly boasts about his diamond chains & fancy Rolex’s over the Lex Lugar-produced beat. “Pressure pressure stay applying pressure (x2)/ New Rolex’s thats pressure, diamond necklace thats pressure” Currency spits.
As for the video, directed by Dexstr8dope, it finds Currensy getting high backstage and getting focused before taking the stage at one of his live show. It surfaces just days after finishing up his "Pilot Talk Trilogy" tour, where this looks to be recorded at.
Check it out and let us know what you think. Look for more videos from Currensy to be on the way, maybe one for every record off his upcoming EP or at least that what his IG suggests? While you wait for this weekend’s EP to arrive, revisit his latest mixtape, The Champagne Files, right here to hold you over in the meantime. Stay tuned, plenty more from Spitta is still on the way.
