Curren$y may not be feeding the streets at the prolific pace that he was doing last year, but that doesn’t mean he hasn't been putting in the work. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite still as the New Orleans rapper has already released four projects in 2017 this far, including The Jetlanta EP, Jetlife All-Stars, The Fo20 Massacre, & The Champagne Files, but that’s not all he’s got for us. A couple weeks ago, Spitta revealed that he had a new project with producer Lex Luger on the way called The Motivational Speech EP, which we later found out was dropping September 30th, and alas here it is right on time.
Laced with 6 tracks in total, the follow up to The Champagne Files features a lone appearance from legendary ATL rapper OJ Da Juiceman, who appears on the outro track “The Field.” Meanwhile, production is handled entirely by Lex Luger as previously stated.
Led by the previously heard songs “Pressure” and “I Know,” fans can now stream and/or download the EP for free via HNHH. Suggest you roll up and enjoy the latest vibes from the New Orleans Spitta. What’s your favorite record off the EP?
If this still isn’t enough to keep you satisfied, Curren$y also announced earlier in the year that he had four (4) other joint projects on the way, including collaborative projects with Don Cannon (Smokey Robinson 2: Smokey’s Revenge), Freddie Gibbs (Fetti), Harry Fraud (The Marina EP) and Big K.R.I.T. (Lacs n Chevys), but who knows if they’re still on track to be released this year. At the very least, we know Spitta will drop something else before the year’s end so definitely stay tuned as there’s plenty more chill vibes & music on the way.
