Kyle Korver was drafted by the New Jersey Nets in 2003. The team sent him over to the Philadelphia 76ers the same night. From there, Korver played for the Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, Atlanta Hawks, and most recently the Cleveland Cavaliers. The talented perimeter shooter has played his part on all of his teams, but he has been traded yet again. As reported by ESPN, Korver has been traded to the Utah Jazz for Alec Burks and two future second-round picks.
The Cavaliers have been shopping Korver along with JR Smith. Both athletes have expressed their unwillingness to play in Cleveland. Although the city has its delights, both men were added to assist LeBron James at the time. With James long gone, and the Cavaliers sitting at an abysmal 4-15, Korver and Smith were ready to get out of town. This will be Korver's second time playing in Utah, with the first outing taking place from 2007 to 2010. This is his 16th NBA season.
The Cavs are trying to acquire young talent to help rebuild their team. It may be a long time until they can become championship contenders again, with Eastern Conference teams like the 76ers and the Boston Celtics poised to remain dominant for years to come.
