JT of the City Girls promises to come back stronger.

The City Girls were an unexpected and exciting come-up story. Signed to one of the hottest rap labels in the game, Quality Control, the City Girls garnered a lot of attention with their debut project, PERIOD. Several singles and music videos later, the City Girls had found themselves to be an act to watch this year.

However, it seems that their road to success might have taken a huge detour, as JT, one half of the group alongside Yung Miami, turned herself in to police yesterday on fraud charges.

According to XXL, this entire time they were releasing music, JT had been out of prison on bond. Yesterday, it seems that she started her sentence, and is currently being held in the Federal Detention Center in Miami. Her release date is listed as March 21st, 2020.

This is obviously a massive blow to the City Girls and Yung Miami, who was not only separated from her music partner but also her good friend. Hopefully they have something planned in order to keep the hype going while JT spends the next year and a half locked up.

In a goodbye message on her Instagram story, JT was thankful for everything that she managed to accomplish in her short time in the spotlight. "Did more than I thought I could imagine in this short period of time out on bond. Now it's time for me to knock this down & come back strong forever. Hold my baby down y'all," she wrote.
