Chris Brown issues a response to the band's initial statement yesterday.

Chris Brown is a divisive person in the music industry due to the many controversies he's been engulfed in over the years. However, that hasn't really prevented him from making hit records and continuing his career as one of the biggest pop stars on the planet. Earlier this week, the indie-pop band Chvrches issued a statement expressing their disappointment in Marshmello's decision to work with Chris Brown and Tyga on "Light It Up." However, the statement has resulted in the band receiving scary threats.

Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry went on a rant about Chris Brown last night during their set at Fortress Festival in Texas. Mayberry said that she wasn't just going after Chris Brown for the sake of going after him but rather because of Marshmello's "morally dubious" decision to work with the singer. Mayberry said that she felt obliged to speak on the matter since she's a patron of Rape Crisis Ireland.

As you're probably well-aware, Chris Brown's following is loyal. Mayberry suggested that she needed to buy a "bulletproof tutu" for her shows because apparently, Breezy fans have been threatening her with rape and murder.

Chris Brown clapped back at the band yesterday after the catching wind of their comments. He called them a "bunch of losers" before saying that he wished they "walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients."
