Christina Aguilera is readying her upcoming album, "Liberation."

Christina Aguilera hopped back on the scene today with an infectious new song titled "Accelerate" accompanied by Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, produced by Kanye West and Mike Dean. X-Tina'a soulful, deep vocals plays perfectly with Ty and Chainz respective lyrics and the song as a whole has us ready and excited about her upcoming album Liberation coming out on June 15th.

The 37-year-old mother of two chatted with Billboard magazine about her new music, how now is the best time to speak up and how excited she is about no longer taking part in The Voice. Speaking on her new song, it was a great surprise for many to hear Christina team up with four hip-hop heads for a song not like her past work. “To me, there’s nothing like an amazing hip-hop beat,” she told the publication. “When you strip back the words ‘pop star’ and the many things that I’ve done, singing soulfully is where my core, my root and my heart really is. And as you can see, it’s what I’m inspired by.”

Her previous album, Lotus, was her least performing tape but she says she can't compare her self to her past work. With “so many different marches and people voicing their opinions and feeling OK to talk about things for the first time," now is the time to not be “suffocated and restricted."

As for her departure from the singing competition show, The Voice, X-Tina says it became something she didn't feel she signed up for. “You realize it’s not about music. It’s about making good TV moments and massaging a story," she said. “I didn't get into this business to be a television show host and to be given all these [rules]. Especially as a female: You can’t wear this, can’t say that. I would find myself on that show desperately trying to express myself through clothing or makeup or hair. It was my only kind of outlet.”
