Chris Brown releases an official statement on the Suge Knight shooting, which occurred at a party he hosted in L.A.

As we reported over the weekend, Chris Brown's album release party for X hosted at 10AK nightclub in Hollywood ended in a shooting, with Suge Knight being one of the victims.

The pre-VMAs party ended with three people getting shot, while the details on the two other victims are scarce, it's been reported that Suge Knight was shot a total of six times, and still managed to walk himself out of the club. Suge Knight is still recovering, his family release an official statement on Sunday which you can read here.

Now Chris Brown has released a statement on the situation as well, through his representative. The rep told Billboard that Chris had no part in the shooting but plans to fully cooperate with the police's investigation.

"Chris hosted an event in Los Angeles last night to celebrate the upcoming release of his album X, during which an incident occurred," the rep said. "This incident did not involve Chris; he was merely the host of the event. He has and will continue to cooperate with the investigation."

We'll continue to keep you informed on the situation.
