If you were paying attention to the advertisements during the Super Bowl game, you surely noticed a Doritos commercial with the Backstreet Boys and Chance the Rapper. In the video, the two musical forces collide to remix "I Want It That Way," dedicating the new version to a brand new Flamin' Hot Nacho flavor. When you think of spicy snacks, you've got to picture Flamin' Hot Cheetos in your head (unless you're Lil Xan... he would rather not think of them at all.) Well, the Doritos ad caught the attention of Cheetos and it even prompted Chester Cheetah to record a diss track against his competitor and their celebrity co-signs.
Last year saw the arrival of a handful of potent diss records and in 2019, we're starting off with some snack-related bars. Clearly, Chester Cheetah wasn't impressed with Doritos' Super Bowl commercial because the official spokesman for Cheetos wrote and recorded an entire diss track for the company. "Doritos is dropping Flamin' Hot? Whoa. I'ma need a minute," says the computer-animated character. In the song, he calls out Backstreet Boys and Chance the Rapper, rapping, "You got celebs and a remix song, but like a bag of Cheetos it won't last long."
The lyrical ability of this cheetah is incredible. Check out the new campaign below and let us know if you're on team Doritos or team Cheetos.
