Lakers vs Celtics, Duke vs UNC, Yankees vs Red Sox, Charles Barkley vs the "big women" of San Antonio. Just a few of the greatest rivalries in sports history.
During halftime of TNT's Sunday night game between the Utah Jazz and Houston Rockets - a game that had nothing to do with San Antonio - Barkley once again took some shots at San Antonio women.
As a pair of acrobats performed in front of the crowd at Toyota Center, Sir Charles quipped, "I bet you couldn't do that to them big ass women in San Antonio. You can do that to them little, skinny Houston women. You can't do that to them big ole women in San Antonio."
Barkley's feud with the ladies of San Antonio, and the city as a whole, dates back years ago when he claimed the women “can’t wear no Victoria’s Secret" because they eat too many churros, and dubbed the famed River Walk nothing more than a "dirty creek."
He doubled-down during last year's playoffs, ironically during the Rockets vs Jazz series, while talking about how big of a state Texas is.
"We've got Amarillo, Austin, Seguin, El Paso, Dallas... San Antonio, and oh, we weigh them twice," Barkley joked.
Chuck says it's all in good fun, and he issued an apology of sorts right around this time last year, but it's clear he intends to keep this rivalry alive.
"I know y'all get all sensitive and bent out of shape when I'm making fun of San Antonio," Barkley said. "I really love your city."
