It's another hosting gig for The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne tha God as the radio personality will soon be featured on The Hollywood Reporter's new series Emerging Hollywood. The series is described as being conversational, where Charlamagne acts as host and sits down with guests like Trevor Noah, Jameela Jamil, Alan Young, Dascha Polanco, and Killer Mike. A range of hot topics pertaining to culture, society, and lifestyle will be covered including body positivity, politics, inclusion, gender, and sexuality.
Each episode will include three chapters, and each chapter will be approximately five to seven minutes long. The chapters are, "Where I Came From," "What I'm About" and "Where I'm Going." The Hollywood Reporter's editorial director Matthew Belloni says, "THR is dedicated to amplifying the voices of the industry’s agents of change. Charlamagne, Trevor Noah and the other Hollywood leaders joining Emerging Hollywood work daily to ignite meaningful conversations and provide opportunities for a diverse new generation. We're thrilled that they’re joining us for this series and hopeful that THR’s readers will be impacted by their perspectives."
"I don't do interviews. I do conversations," said Charlamagne. "I love conversations because through conversation, you hear people's stories, and through people's stories, you get information and inspiration. That's all I want people to get out of these conversations is information and inspiration."
The series premieres May 2 on THR.com, YouTube, and digital partners, and will kick off with The Daily Show host Trevor Noah. Future episodes will air every Thursday.
