Many people are celebrating Mac Miller's life and musical legacy in the wake of the rapper's untimely passing. Chance The rapper was amongst the famous bunch to do so, sharing kind words about his fellow artist. Later, Chance returned to Twitter after digging up some rare content that demonstrates his love for Mac.
The Chicago native posted some quasi-vintage content of his. It features one of his "first ever recordings," which was laid to one of Mac Miller's instrumentals. Chance's song evolved into the official version of "Brain Cells" found on his #10Day project. An early demo of the song employed the beat from "Koolaid and Frozen Pizza," a track from Miller's K.I.D.S. mixtape.
"It took me a long time to find it but I did. I was soooo big of a fan that one of my first ever recordings, a song that would get remade over and over til it ended up on 10Day, was over a beat you rapped on. Koolaid and Frozen Pizza birthed Brain Cells."
The pair would eventually link up. The very next year after #10Day dropped, Mac Miller brought Chance The Rapper on tour. The Internet, Earl Sweatshirt, Action Bronson and many others also hopped on the lineup for "The Space Migration Tour."
