CC Sabathia
The pitcher is about to embark on his 19th season.

Just looking at his resume, it's safe to say that CC Sabathia is probably headed for the hall of fame. He is only 14 strikeouts shy of 3000, and just four wins shy of 250. This is an incredible feet considering only nine other have done this, with the only player who isn't in the Hall of Fame, being Roger Clemens, who of course is known for his PED use. While Sabathia is entering his 19th season in the league, The Yankees starting pitcher is set to make it official that he will actually be retiring at the end of the 2019 season, according to CBS Sports.

Sabathia has had some health issues as of late. In December he had to have an angioplasty to fix a blocked artery that was discovered after the pitcher was having issues while trying to workout. At 38 years old, the pitcher isn't getting younger and his health and age are all potential reasons for why he has decided to hang up his glove. The official announcement is slated for Saturday at Steinbrenner Field in Tampa Bay. The pitcher will make $8 million this season and will be looking to earn his second championship. Needless to say, it will be a big season for the Yankees and their pitcher.
