According to new data found in Nielsen Music, Cardi B’s J Balvin and Bad Bunny-assisted “I Like It” will likely hold the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 by next week for the chart dated June 30th.
Currently, the track sits at No. 3, its highest slot to date, and an ascent to the penthouse would mark Cardi B’s second No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart, following “Bodak Yellow” and would serve as the first for both Balvin and Bad Bunny.
According to Nielsen, “I Like It” is slated to rack up over 35 million streams in the United States with 25,000 downloads sold and 60 million in radio audience. Altogether it makes the single poised to take over Drake’s “Nice For What” which came back at the top spot this week, marking its seventh total week after a break at No. 2.
Elsewhere in the Top 10, Post Malone and Ty Dolla $ign’s No. 2 “Psycho” is set to remain somewhere in the top three with Drake and Cardi while Maroon 5’s Cardi-assisted “Girls Like You” and Juice WRLD’s “Lucid Dreams” are set to occupy the Top 5 in some capacity.
In light of the significant boost in streaming following his death, XXXTentacion’s “SAD!,” currently at No. 52, could very well surge into the Top 10 on the chart according to data. Additionally, on the Streaming Songs chart, the track is predicted to move from No. 34 to No. 2. Following his fatal shooting on Monday, the 20-year old rapper’s music sales saw in increase of 1,603 percent Billboard reports with “SAD!” and his ? album seeing the bulk of new activity.
