Cardi B has earned legions of fans. So much so that political aspirants have taken to flocking, mothlike, to her light. Even those that avoid hip-hop music are likely familiar with Cardi to some capacity, given that she seems to appear damn near everywhere. Today, her quest for world domination continues with a new cover story for Harper's Bazaar. Of course, the new mother's relationship status with Offset has become a focal point for many, including those who profess to hold an apathetic view. Luckily, Cardi offers an update on the once-power couple, explaining that things aren't always meant to be.

When asked whether she intends on rekindling the flame, Cardi doesn't appear overtly optimistic. "I don’t think so. Who knows? You never know, you can never tell...I didn’t want to go to marriage counseling,” she explains. “[Offset] suggested it, but it’s like, ‘I don’t want to go.’ There’s no counselor or nothing that could make me change my mind.” Those hoping for reconciliation may leave disappointed, as it doesn't appear the couple is getting back on track anytime soon.
Still, Cardi understands the difficult situation she is in. "I have a kid, and I’m also famous,” she reflects. “So I can’t just sleep with anybody. People talk. You know, if I date somebody in the industry, that’s another person in the industry. If I date somebody who is not in the industry, he might not understand my lifestyle.”
Naturally, Cardi has been fending off suitors from every angle, though attempts at DM sliding will do little to win her favor. "If you think Imma automatically hop onto you after a marriage, that just means you think I’m a sleaze. And I’m not. I have a kid—I have to show an example," explains Cardi. So should you be drafting your third attempt, perhaps consider staying your hand.
