To promote her newly-released debut album, Invasion Of Privacy, Bronx sensation Cardi B decided to make her by the NBC studios on Monday and take over the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she served as both guest co-host & musical guest Monday night.
Serving as the first person to ever co-host the late-night talk show, and first black person as she put it, Cardi B had the audience dying in laughter with her carefree, polarizing personality while on set. The “Bodak Yellow” rapper joined Jimmy Fallon for a hilarious opening monologue, which included pulling a fan down from the crowd to record a custom voicemail.
Throughout her time as co-host, Cardi sat alongside Fallon and talked with guest John Mulaney, before Cardi & Jimmy would later go head to head in a game of Box Of Lies.
Lastly, Cardi B would serve as the show’s musical guest as well, where she took the stage backed by the Roots to perform her new song “Money Bag,” off her debut album Invasion Of Privacy.
Cardi’s Tonight show takeover comes just days after she hit SNL this past weekend for another memorable performance.
Check out highlights from Cardi’s takeover (below) as well as her performance of “Money Bag.” Look for her to perform at this weekend's Coachella festival, which will be streaming on Youtube if you didn't hear.
