Rapper Kanye West speaks during a meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval office of the White House on October 11, 2018 in Washington, DC.
"To those who have donated and supported BLEXIT, I would like to clarify that in no way are you supporting the work of Kanye West."

Kanye West revealed that he will be distancing himself from politics after Candace Owens said that he was behind the design of her #Blexit merch. 'Ye said that he realized he was being "used" to push messages that he doesn't believe in. Owens penned an open letter today titled "808s and Heartbreak," apologizing to West about his name being involved in the #Blexit movement.

"If I had to imagine what it would feel like to have a bullet pierce my heart, it would be exactly like the moment I learned Kanye told the world he felt I had used him," she wrote on her blog. "I never once said that Kanye designed the t-shirts for BLEXIT... Kanye was completely right to feel used in that regard and as I have done personally, I would like to publicly apologize to him for any undue stress or pain the effort to correct that rumor has caused him, his business relationships, or his family. He simply never designed them."

She added, "I would also like to publicly apologize to President Trump, as I know that Kanye’s tweets were rapidly misinterpreted as a shot to this administration."

Owens also mentioned that anyone who's donated or supported BLEXIT are in "no way are you supporting the work of Kanye West.

'Ye clarified that he didn't mention Trump's name to TMZ when he said he felt like he was being "used." Either way, 'Ye "distancing" himself from politics comes at a very convenient time since he has an album dropping in a few weeks.
