Cam'Ron has been a busy man. The Harlem rapper recently dropped off a mixtape called The Program, performed with his old crew The Diplomats (while teasing a long awaited reunion), and found himself embroiled in a sudden beef with rapper-turned pastor-turned rapper again Mase. This morning, Cam hit up The Breakfast Club to clear the air on his recent months.
"I've never dissed Mase in my life," says Cam'Ron, breaking down his rationale. "I don't mess with Mase no more, cause me personally I just go by a different standard than people. Once you start playin' with God and start taking people's money, and say rap is the devil then come back and rap cause you ain't got no money, I just can't pump with you. I'm not sayin' I'm the most religious guy in the world, but I don't play with you when you play with God. There was a time when he was like 'yo, you know Deacons is gettin' that money.' I was like it's over. I can't really mess with you."
Cam maintains that anything ostensibly directed at Mase wasn't a "diss," per se, including "Take Em' To Church." "I never dissed Mase. I'm telling you stories about real life situations. I never made up 'fucked my sister,' the imaginary sister that I don't have. I don't have a sister. I don't really do fiction when it comes to Mase." When he's proceeded to be pressed about the infamous sister line, Cam'ron remains steadfast in his denial.
Charlamagne and Angela proceed to break down some of the lines in "The Oracle," including Mase's claim that he has some incriminating footage. "I'd like to see the footage too," says Cam, after playing with The Breakfast Club's official "fart button." He also claims that he was blindsided by "The Oracle" dropping from nowhere, and only found out when his man told his mother to wake him up.
