During Game one of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Toronto Raptors and the Milwaukee Bucks, it appeared as though the Raptors had complete control early. For instance, the team had a 34-23 lead at one point in the first half, all while the Bucks players struggled to hit shots. In the fourth quarter, it was the Raptors who went cold, all while Brook Lopez went off, scoring 13 of his 29 points. Lopez's 4th quarter performance led his team to a 108-100 win on home court.
"We just don't quit as a unit," Lopez said according to ESPN. "We keep hounding, keep hounding, keep hounding and grinding, and then we finally got there. There's no quit in our team. I don't think it's really in our DNA at all."
In the final quarter, Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokoumpo was stymied as he was only able to score three points. After the game, the Greek Freak spoke about just how important Lopez was to the team's success.
"This is the Brook we all know and love," Antetokoumpo said. "We just want him to be aggressive, especially in this series."
The Bucks now have a 1-0 lead in the series and will look to take a commanding lead on Friday in Game 2.
