On Tuesday night, the Kevin Abstract-led collective Brockhampton released a new song & accompanying video called “Sweet,” which served as the fourth offering from their forthcoming Saturation 2 project following “Gummy,” “Swamp,” & last week’s “Junky.” But minutes following its release, Kevin Abstract tweeted out that he had a surprise for fans later that night as well, “y’all know I like surprises.” Then about half hour later, Kev confirmed that he was dropping a second video tonight for a new song called “Follow,” which will NOT see life on Saturation 2. In fact, it serves as the first single off their upcoming SATURATION 3 project instead!
On Tuesday, Kevin announced that Brockhampton’s Saturation series was a trilogy, and that the third installment is on its way. “Saturation is a trilogy,” he tweeted. “I got something to say before the video is out.” “Tonight, we are releasing the first single from our third album,” which he later did with “Follow.”
Unfortunately, nothing else was revealed about the project, like when we can expect to receive it. But based on the time frame in between the first two projects, we could be waiting a couple more months till Saturation 3 arrives. Hopefully, they hold us over with their friendly weekly release strategy in the process, usually every Tuesday night too.
Check out the series of tweets below & look for Saturation 2 to drop Thursday night at midnight. While you wait, revisit the first single “Follow” to hold you over. If you need any added reason to, Tyler The Creator says he's a big fan of the song, “this song hard good job” he commented on their IG post. (See below)
