Two-time Featherweight boxing champ Gervonta Davis has been arrested after engaging in a fist fight with an employee at the Rosebar Lounge in Washington, DC. The fight was allegedly over a $10,000 bill Gervonta was forced to pay in full. The other person engaging with Davis in the dispute played a role in forcing the skirmish onto the curb, and out the resto-lounge.
The video above relays the aftermath of the fistfight, with Gervonta being carted off into a cop car for his fingerprint session. Gervonta Davis' last brush with the law occurred in 2017 when he assaulted a training partner/friend during a sparring session at the Baltimore gym that he frequents.
Several bystanders tried to break up the skirmish outside Rosebar Lounge, resulting in Davis' and the other suspect fleeing momentarily. Both men we later "captured" by cops called to the scene. Both men were then detained in separate quarters, and booked for disorderly conduct upon entering the precinct.
Gervonta Davis' last "sanctioned" fistfight took place at the Barclays Center in April, with Baltimore native scoring a 3rd round TKO, catapulting him back into the P4P conversation, ahead of his Super Featherweight peers. Davis has said on record that wants to test his mettle against boxing great Vasyl Lomachenko, a man so quick and nimble, they refer to him as "The Matrix."
