This year marks the 35th anniversary of Bob Marley and The Wailer's Legend album and to commemorate the occasion, Island Records and the Marley family will be celebrating the classic album with a double LP, 180-gram vinyl reissue on June 14th.
First released on May 8th in 1984, the effort still holds the crown as the best selling reggae album of all time and has gone down as one of the most successful compilation albums across any genre with 28 million worldwide sales.
The reissue is exclusive to vinyl and will feature a total of 16 tracks that include staples such as "Get Up Stand Up," "Three Little Birds," "I Shot The Sheriff," and two bonus tracks that were originally only on cassette: "Easy Skanking" and "Punky Reggae Party."
With the commemoration also comes a new visual to accompany "Satisfy My Soul." Directed by Brian Kazez, the clip is shot on sight in Kingston. The new video trails behind an earlier clip that accompanied "Easy Skanking," continuing a strong trend of depicting authentic Jamaican life.
Catch "Satisfy My Soul" up top.
