Big Sean has been awfully busy lately, making plans to build a movie theater in his hometown of Detroit and delaying his tour in favor of recording his new album. While we thought we couldn't be more excited about the prospect of a new Big Sean album, it seems we actually can. Sean posted a photo of himself and John Mayer working together in the studio and quite possibly working on a track or two for the upcoming project. The GOOD Music rapper recently shared an image with James Fauntleroy in the booth, and he appears again here in the background, suggesting that Fauntleroy could be doing extensive work on the album.
John Mayer is a highly successful artist in the pop and rock worlds, having won a Grammy for "Song of the Year" in 2005. The extent of the collaboration is unclear, but with Mayer holding a guitar in the photo, it hints that Big Sean could be exploring different vibes on the LP. Their collab could be a highlight of the album, depending on which direction they decide to go.
Sean Don has said in the past that he's coming at 2018 "with a vengeance" and, with the continual teases, the album could be exactly what he needs to tear up the charts once again. While not much has been disclosed about the release of the project, we will keep you posted on any announcements from Big Sean regarding the album or any possible collaborations.
