Bacarri Rambo was taken into custody days after police reportedly responded to his home following a call about a rape.

A former NFL player has reportedly been taken into custody in Georgia. Bacarri Rambo was drafted by the Washington Redskins in 2013 and was quickly put on the starting line as a free safety. However, he didn't do too well in his first few games so he was benched. By the end of the season, the Redskins decided to waive Rambo and he later went on to play for the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins, but his current job is as a defensive back coach for the University of Georgia's football team.

According to the New York Post, on Saturday (June 13) morning, Athens-Clarke County Police were called to an apartment in Athens, Georgia, where Bacarri Rambo reportedly lives. They were responding to a call of a rape, and while it's unclear what happened during that initial encounter between officers and whoever was at the scene, on Monday (June 15), Rambo was arrested and booked at the Clarke County Jail.

“The police department does not release the details of sexual assaults unless there are specific details that may provide safety information to the general public,” a police spokesperson reportedly told USA Today. “The department is not inclined to release further information on this case.”
