Avengers: Infinity War holds the highest body count of any MCU film thus far. The shocking deaths were hollow though, as fans expect all the heroes to come back one way or another. Thanos may have won this round, but the war is far from over. Avengers 4 will complete the epic storyline surrounding the Infinity Stones, which began appearing in the MCU with 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger. Outside of the heroes that perished in the third Avengers film, there have been rumors that other deceased heroes and villains will reappear. While Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Quicksilver has allegedly been spotted on set, executive producer Michael Grillo recently confirmed another dead hero will appear.
As reported by Super Bro Movies, Grillo revealed that the Ancient One from Doctor Strange would be making an appearance in Avengers 4. “When we got Tilda Swinton, she was just a 1-day availability," stated Grillo while speaking at the Austin Film Festival. Played by Swinton, the Ancient One trained Doctor Strange before dying at the conclusion of the film. Her casting was controversial, since the Ancient One was an old Asian man in the comics. Her moment in Avengers 4 will most likely be a flashback scene, but it's possible that Strange and the Ancient One reconnect in the afterlife.
