A$AP TyY hasn’t been the most prolific A$AP Mob members, but he’s always been lurking in the wings, waiting for his chance at a shot. Now he comes through “Remain the Same,” produced by DR Manhattan.
The track is as hard hitting as they come. Pounding bass is punctured often by gunshots, and an ominous choral track sits deep in the mix. TyY raps about his past cooking over the stove and selling “work off the interstate.”
The song is all about remaining authentic. Explaining the song, the A$AP emcee said, “I’m authentic, no gimmicks with me, I am what you see and hear. Real niggas remain the same always.” A$AP TyY’s last song was “O Well” in 2015.
Quotable Lyrics
Cooking up dinner plates
do whatever it takes
never taking breaks
watch out for these snakes
Nigga you been a fake
