A$AP Rocky was tested by a psychedelics professor while creating "Testing."

A$AP Rocky's fascination with psychedelic drugs continues on Testing as his new album listens as somewhat of a trippy, experimental project, exploring different vibes and straying from the norm. Some songs stand out on the album, including FKA Twigs' feature, Frank Ocean's closer and Skepta's appearance on "Praise The Lord (Da Shine.)" Showing up to perform the track during Rocky's free show in London, "Praise The Lord" is one of the fan-favorites from the album because of its high energy and clever musical references. Breaking down the track's lyrics with Genius, Rocky gave some insight on how the song was created, revealing that it all began with an acid trip.

The Harlem rapper sat down to unpack his lyrics on the Skepta-produced track detailing how the product came about. "We was all in London at my spot, Skeppy came through. I have this psychedelic professor, he studies in LSD. I had him come through and kinda record and monitor us to actually test the product while being tested on. We did the rhymes all tripping balls bro. N---as was high," said Rocky while nodding his head, remembering the extent of his trip. While it may not be entirely surprising given the content of some of his songs, Rocky's love of psychedelics takes him to new heights on Testing as he runs through his lyrics and bumps to the thumping track.
