Jay-Z may have made the Yankees hat more famous than a Yankee can, but now, he's getting a piece of the action. The 'Empire State of Mind' emcee has teamed up with his hometown baseball team to create co-branded clothing -- including baseball caps, hoodies and t-shirts that feature both Yankees and Jay-Z logos.

Kim Kardashian is firing back against Fox News commentator Bill O'Reilly's criticism of her Elle photo shoot withJustin Bieber. "I thought the shoot was all in good fun - we had a good time," Kim said on Lopez Tonight of The Graduate-themed pictorial, which features the 29-year-old starlet in romantic scenarios with the 16-year-old "Baby" singer and appears in the magazine's September issue.

Chris Brown  may be hitting his musical stride again. Notching Greatest Gainer/Airplay honors for a second straight week, the singer is this close to notching a top 10 hit on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with "Deuces." The breakup song-featuring Tyga and Kevin McCall-moves 15-11 in its sixth week on the chart.


Released to iTunes June 29 along with another new Brown song, "No B.S.," "Deuces" moves 60-59 on the Digital Songs chart. Up 11% in digital sales, the song has sold 132,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Timbaland was the subject of a manhunt yesterday after his family believed he was so distraught over the theft of a $2 million piece of jewelry he might harm himself ... this according to law enforcement sources.


According to sources, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department put out a "possible suicide attempt" APB just before 5 PM PT yesterday.  A helicopter and squad cars went on the hunt for the rapper/producer's Escalade.

Ruff Ryders producer Swizz Beatz has divulged on what fans can anticipate from his upcoming Haute Living solo album. According to Beatz, the LP will be his most superior project to date. "I believe it's my best work ever. It's my 'perception of greatness,'" Beatz said in an interview. "I just wanna give everyone the unthinkable. When you think of Swizz, you think of a lot of party things. But this time I have a lot to say. I'm more mature. I just got a lot to talk about." (MTV)

This past Sunday (August 22), New York City's B.B. King Blues Club &  Grill played home to the 2010 Underground Music Awards, which highlights the best unsigned and independent artists within the urban music scene. The event honored rappers including J. Cole, Tiye Phoenix, Travis Porter, Fred the Godson and Statik Selektah, among others.

Snoop Dogg has a strong presence on the digital sales market, with Snoop-branded virtual gifts, pets and clothing being sold through online worlds like Gaia Online, WeeWorld and Zwinky. But apparently, his sales initiative has earned him a pretty penny. According to a new case study, the emcee has sold more than $200,000 of branded virtual goods across these networks, with his sales on social gaming site WeeWorld totaling more than 2.5 times that of non-branded goods.
