A few days ago, the Sweetener World Tour was finally announced and Ariana Grande fans around the globe rushed to buy pre-sale tickets. While the majority of them are ecstatic to be witnessing their idol perform live after suffering such a traumatic year, they will also be in for a treat with the freshly-announced opening acts.
Alongside Social House, Normani will be performing as a support act on the Sweetener tour, bringing her brand her R&B and pop to the stage. The former Fifth Harmony member has had an incredible year, which has been skyrocketed by the success of "Love Lies" with Khalid. Obviously, she will be performing the track during her shows, putting an emphasis on her skills as a solo artist. She reposted the tour dates on her socials, adding that she was looking forward to embarking on the journey next year. "Excited would be an absolute understatement," said Normani. "I’m feeling special right now because I get to spend three months on tour with @arianagrande 💕 the sweetest of angels. THANK YOU! See y’all soon."
The news comes just a few days after Ariana Grande released her surprise break-up anthem, "thank u, next." The song references her relationships with Big Sean, Mac Miller, Pete Davidson, and more. The North American leg of the Sweetener tour begins in March 2019.
