The pop star says she has been experiencing recurring bouts of anxiety.

Ariana Grande opened up about the emotional residuals she still endures after the bombing of her Manchester concert. The interview for her ELLE cover story reveals that the star's mental health has been affected by the attack:“When I got home from tour, I had really wild dizzy spells, this feeling like I couldn’t breathe,” she told the publication. “I would be in a good mood, fine and happy, and they would hit me out of nowhere. I’ve always had anxiety, but it had never been physical before. There were a couple of months straight where I felt so upside down.”

The newly engaged singer still has trouble stepping onstage because of her PTSD. The star says her experience has encouraged her to advocate for gun reform and other civil issues like Black Lives Matter. Grande wants to "be an ally" and wield her "privilege to help educate people."

Recently, some of Ariana Grande's fans confronted the pop star about her fiance's inclusion of the Manchester bombing in his standup routine. Grande was quick to defend her fiance, a stance that now seems even more intense considering the state of her mental health. If her psyche is scarred by the horrendous attacks, then she is more likely to hold a lot of sympathy for the event's survivors and for the families of those who didn't make it.
