Ariana Grande surprised her fans with the new single "imagine" last week, and the track couldn't have come at a better moment. Grande had a powerful resurgence musically in 2018 with the release of her album Sweetener, but now, Christmas time is here. "Imagine" fits the mood with its sweeping vocals that deliver an undeniable feeling of warmth and happiness. It does sound eerily similar to The Weeknd's "Earned It," but that's more on the productions presentation than Grande's actual performance. Grande stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (December 18), but before she took the stage to perform the new single she joined in on some nostalgic holiday fun.
Tracy Morgan, Chris Kattan, Horatio Sanz, and Jimmy Fallon recreated their classic Saturday Night Live Christmas skit but brought Grande along for the ride. Much like Kattan and Morgan, Grande just dances along as Fallon and Sanz do their thing. The skit may go over the heads of many, but it's a piece of SNL history that has stuck with viewers for almost two decades. After they remade the skit, Grande and The Roots joined together to perform "imagine." Check out both segments below. Happy Holidays!
