The single comes from his forthcoming album "El Negreeto."

Akon hasn't been as active when it comes to releasing new music as of late because he's been busy carving out a place for himself as an international mogul. However, on Friday the 46-year-old singer released a new single titled "Get Money" featuring Puerto Rican singer-rapper Anuel AA. The track will be featured on Akon's forthcoming release El Negreeto, his first project since 2008's Freedom. "Get Money" has a heavy Latin influence, so it could be a hint the Akon will be switching things up on his next record.

The "Akon Lighting Africa" leader has kept himself busy with his philanthropic business ventures over the years. In 2014, he launched "Akon Lighting Africa" along with Samba Bathily and Thione Niang in an effort to provide African nations with solar energy. So far the organization has been able to aid 15 countries in Africa. Akon has also started the Konfidence Foundation, a charity that helps underprivileged African children.

Quotable Lyrics

You name it n*gga we gettin it
All my homies dead or got caught
But we out here still gettin it
