HotNewHipHop: Since 2007

HotNewHipHop.com began as a single webpage back in 2007. Coinciding with the start of Hip-Hop’s “Blog Era,” HotNewHipHop quickly became the internet’s top reference to discover the newest song and mixtape releases from both renowned and undiscovered artists. Many of today’s A-list artists and rappers had their first songs appear on HotNewHipHop. The site has covered artists like The Weeknd, Doja Cat, Wiz Khalifa, Tory Lanez, Tyga and others before they have gotten attention from mainstream media. You can even check out our prominent video series On The Come Up where we interviewed many artists before their superstar ascents.

Back in 2011, HotNewHipHop began covering daily hip-hop news, transforming the site into a reputable news source. Not only were fans getting new music, but they were also being informed on all of the latest news, gossip, and rumors surrounding their favorite artists. Despite becoming a hub for hip-hop news, HotNewHipHop has continued to post new songs and mixtapes. This has allowed us to maintain a strong community, who enjoys engaging with new music and news through our infamous comments section. Even Drake has found himself lurking on our site, as made evident by his recent post in which he reminisced about the comments on our article about Take Care’s release.

Our impact on hip-hop has been recognized with multiple nominations for numerous BET Hip-Hop Awards (Best Hip-Hop Platform in 2020, 2021 & Best Hip-Hop Online Site/App in 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2019). Additionally, HotNewHipHop continues to be ranked as one of the best hip-hop and rap sites online.
