In the last few days, Cardi B released her soon-to-be No. 1 debut album, performed on SNL, and announced that she and her fiancé Offset are expecting their first child. In other words, things are going pretty well for the Bronx rapper. Of course, with this level of success and exposure, there's bound to be some people attempting to bring her down, which is something she anticipated, according to a post on Instagram. "This is why i did not wanted [sic] to say nothing," wrote Cardi late Saturday night, very likely referring to the news of her pregnancy, of which rumors have been swirling over the past few months. "People be so thirsty to scrutinize and try to destroy something that itsuppose [sic] be a blessing."
In a tweet, Cardi promised that her future child, who is reportedly due in July, will only ensure she continues to win and prove her detractors wrong. "I started winning when the whole world was doubting on me," she said. "I think imma lose with my little baby counting on me ?"
It's unclear who Cardi is speaking to in the post, but whoever it may be, they're being drowned out by the wave of congratulations sweeping over social media from fans and fellow artists. Even 50 Cent, who isn't exactly known for sincere words of encouragement, couldn't help but celebrate Cardi and Offset's big news on Instagram.
