Remy Ma’s momentum hasn’t let up since the Bronx emcee made her return to civilization after her involuntary vacation came to an end in 2014. Currently, she’s readying the arrival of her sophomore 7 Winters and 6 Summers album—an effort that finds teasers in the arrivals of her Lil Kim-assisted “Wake Me Up” single along with her latest “Melanin Magic,” featuring Chris Brown.
Now, Remy has made a stop over at Spotify’s Rap Caviar content house to show off her range with a freestyle in the latest iteration of Rap Caviar’s “FLOW” series. In the clip, Remy thoroughly addresses the competition, reminding us of her aggression both in and outside of the booth.
“Let me tell you hoes what I mean when I tell you that it’s on sight,” she rips. “Baby showers, funerals, in traffic, or on flights / Weddings, reunions when I see you, we gon’ fight.” There is not yet a set date for the arrival of 7 Winters and 6 Summers, but in previous instances, Remy has revealed that the content of the album will gift fans with a deeper look into the vulnerability that often doesn’t see the spotlight.
“I grew up in a neighborhood that made you feel like you always had to be tough — if you showed vulnerability, you could be attacked, or it could be used against you,” she told Entertainment Weekly earlier in the year. “[Now] I have no problem opening up to my fans. After everything I went through.”
