Last week, Lil Uzi Vert previewed an untitled song that's rumored to be dropping in the near future. The track, which fans have been referring to as "1600," was performed live at Uzi's Sunday night show in NYC. Whether or not they were familiar with the snippet, fans were loving it, as you can see below.
Uzi has been teasing a couple of upcoming projects, including a joint tape with Playboi Carti and his debut rock project. Unless "1600" has a Carti verse we haven't heard yet, it doesn't sound like it will appear on either of these hypothetical albums. Could yet another solo effort be in the works?
Uzi just shared four new tracks as part of the deluxe version of 2017's Luv Is Rage 2. Throughout his career, he's previewed new music regularly, some of which dating back before LIR2 that still has not seen the light of day. If "1600," if that's what it's really called, is already being played live, it seems likely that it will actually see release. When that will happen is anyone's guess.
Uzi recently made headlines when he revealed that he and Kanye West have "hella shit" in the stash. Like Uzi, Kanye has a tendency to sit on music, so we'll have to wait and see what makes its way out.
"XO Tour Llif3" and "The Way Life Goes" both appeared on our Hottest Songs Of 2017 list. Read it here.
