Kaepernick announces 10-day initiative.

Colin Kaepernick is nearing the end of his $1 million pledge, having donated $900,000 to 31 different organizations thus far. The former 49ers QB took to social media today to explain how he'll distribute the final $100,000 with the help of his celebrity friends.

According to Kaepernick, the final round of donations will come in the form of a 10-day initiative, in which he’ll donate $10,000 to an organization that a celebrity will match. For instance, Kaepernick today pledged $10,000 to De-Bug, a story-telling, community organizing, and advocacy organization based in San José, California, and Kevin Durant has agreed to match.

"My brother Kevin Durant @KDTrey5 has generously decided to match my donation of $10,000, with $10,000 of his own, making the total donation to De-Bug $20,000!!! My brother Kevin, you are truly a champion on, and off the court."

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, the $20,000 total will be going to travel stipends for families to visit their loved ones in prison, help to raise awareness towards a campaign towards a law that increases protections to young people in prison, money towards pretrial release for those who can't make bail as well as funds to support initiatives that seek to end bail.

Stephen Curry is also getting involved in Kaepernick's 10-day initiative, and has announced plans to make donations toward United Playaz, a youth organization in Oakland.
