With exception to the past couple weeks, Big K.R.I.T. had been relatively quiet for the better part of 2017. In fact, prior to hearing “Confetti” last month, the last time he impacted our site was almost a year ago to the day when he dropped off the song “Free Agent,” where he announced that he was once again an independent artist.
Back in August, we got whispers of the Mississippi rapper working on new music when he was spotted with 8 Ball & MJG in the studio, but nothing ever came of it except some more rumors of a possible new album on the way. While leaving us in the dark both musically and on social media for the most part of the year, Krizzle decided to change all that a couple weeks ago when he announced that he had a double-disc album dropping October 27th called 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time, and without further ado here it is.
Laced with 22 songs in total (11 on each disc), the follow up to Cadillactica features guest appearances from Lloyd, T.I., CeeLo Green, Jill Scott, Sleepy Brown and more. Meanwhile production is handled by the likes of DJ Camper, DJ Khalil, Big K.R.I.T. himself, and more.
Led by the previously heard singles “Confetti” & “Aux Cord,” fans can now stream the project in its entirety via Apple Music. You already know this about to have some Southern trunk bangers. Take a listen and let us know what you think!
