Though he appeared to be trash-talking Trevor Ariza in the closing moments of the Raptors win over the Houston Rockets Friday night, Drake made sure to invite his team's rivals to dinner at OVO's new restaurant after their defeat. According to TMZ, Drizzy welcomed Ariza, as well as Chris Paul, James Harden, Clint Capela, Gerald Green, and other team members of the Rockets to eat at Pick 6ix, a new spot co-owned by Nessell “Chubbs” Beezer, better known as Drake's head of security. Raptors hero Demar Derozan was reportedly the only Raptor to make it to the restaurant following the game. Drake is said to have his own private bathroom at the restaurant.
Friday night's win against the Rockets ended the team's 17-game win streak and further solidified the Raptors' own hot streak. Both teams are ranked first in their respective conferences. The big game coincided with the annual Drake Night at the Air Canada center. Drake took center-court to speak to fans at the event, sharing plans for his upcoming album. "I love each and every one of you," he said. "I'm happy to be home. I'm working on this new album for the city."
While he has not shared much info on his next LP, Drake is currently ruling the charts with two singles in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100. "God's Plan" has spent 6 weeks in the No. 1 position while "Look Alive," a collaboration with Memphis rapper BlocBoy JB, now sits at No. 6 after peaking at No. 5.
