Jay-Z is continuing his venture into the sports world. The rap mogul is currently planning a move that involves the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, a 40 year old arena located in Long Island.

The Huffington Post reports that the arena that currently houses the New York Islanders has been in consideration for redevelopment by Nassau County officials for many years. The Islanders will be moving to Brooklyn in 2015, and now more interest has been piqued in the renovation of the Coliseum, namnely from Jay-Z and his associates.

The rapper was present at a meeting thursday in which the media was briefed on four renovation proposals for the building and its surroundings.

While the rapper took photos with officials, he did not vocally contribute to the 30 minute presentation.

Decisions on the buildings development will be made this summer.
