Kyrie concerned about Milwaukee's "Mecca" court.

When the Milwaukee Bucks announced that they'd be hosting a "Return to the MECCA" night, complete with a home court makeover that resembles where the team played from 1977-1988, they probably didn't think it would be a competitive advantage.

However, it looks like the retro court is already in Kyrie Irving's head.

Kyrie and the Celtics will take on the Bucks tonight at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena in the first game of TNT's double-header, and the 25-year old point guard has expressed concerns about the court - which he believes is the actual hardwood used during the 80s.

"I'm all about safety, so we'll see how it is on my knees, see how it is on everyone's bodies," Irving noted, per Chris Forsberg of ESPN.com. "I know this is a pretty older court and it looks like it's fresh painted as well. I'm just going to do my assessment and go from there."

"It took me three steps to realize this is not the same NBA court I'm used to playing on," he said. "We'll see what's up."

According to ESPN, the "Return to the MECCA" court being used tonight was painted by ProStar Surfaces, the official floor contractor and supplier of the Milwaukee Bucks, and was provided by Connor Sports. It's not actually a 40-year old floor.

In addition to the vibrantly decorated hardwood, the Bucks will also be wearing their Nike "Classic" uniforms for the first time this season, in honor of the franchise's 50th anniversary.
