For the first time in the company's history, Jordan Brand has recruited somebody to represent their kids' apparel. One-year-old Asahd Khaled, son of DJ Khaled, has announced the news on Instagram, captioning his photo, "Ok world here I come!!" While it isn't necessarily news that DJ Khaled is a major sneakerhead and has nearly every Jordan there is to be collected, his son Asahd becomes the first child to ink a deal with Jordan Kids Collab Apparel, making history.
Asahd has had cameras flashing in his direction literally since his birth, which was captured live on his father's iconic Snapchat page. The news was appropriately shared on Instagram, with Asahd posting out to his nearly 2 million followers. His father DJ Khaled shared to his own page a message of pride, saying, "I was a kid when I was introduced to the iconic Jordan sneaker. It represented everything I wanted to be aka a winner and the flyest kid on the block. So imagine the joy I felt knowing that my son Asahd Khaled would have the opportunity to have his own partnership with the Jordan brand."
The collection is set to include a range of tops and hoodies, pants, hats and socks that match Asahd's personality as well as Jordan Brand's iconic style. Check out Khaled's IG post below and look out for more details regarding the historic deal.
