Houston rapper Megan The Stallion has released her new mixtape, named after her alter ego, Tina Snow. The project delivers on the promise of her energetic, highly quotable singles, including the ferocious "Stalli (Freestyle)," which recently found viral success. Like on "Stalli," Houston rapper and producer DJ Chose provides beats across the album, supplying a gritty club sound that compliments Megan's explicit double-time raps perfectly. While she can't lose with that style, Megan also broadens her sound on a couple of slower, more melodic records that are just as effective as the bangers. On tracks like "Cognac Queen" she's somewhere between Kirko Bangz and Kevin Gates in the way she slips between singing and rapping, but always keeps her songs distinctly southern and full of personality. The 10-track project features only one guest appearance, which comes from Moneybagg Yo.
