A couple of days ago, West Coast rapper Nipsey Hussle and ATL actress Lauren London announced that they would be breaking up, albeit amicably. The couple had dated since 2013, and had their first child, Kross Asghedom in 2016. And while breakups can often be messy affairs, it seems like former couple is set on moving forward like mature adults. In his Twitter announcement, Nipsey makes it clear that "this was A mutual choice and We will function with each-other as family w love and respect." You have to respect that, even though his decision to make the breakup public has brought the haters scurrying from the woodwork.
Love And Hip-Hop Hollywood star Masika Kalysha had a few thoughts on Nipsey's breakup, tweeting out "Do gangsta rappers announce breakups?" followed by a trifecta of sarcastically pensive emojis. Nipsey, never one to be disrespected fired back with the ether, saying "do reality TV throw aways...get to question bosses?" A simple, yet effective comeback, to be sure.
Kalysha was clearly upset by the reply, standing her ground with another slew of Twitter shade, this time calling out Nipsey by name (sort of): "Now I see why lil emotional nippy ain’t put out a record in a min. Sis needa ghost writer. That was weak af. I coulda helped you with that feminine clap back since you got so much time on ya hands to entertain girl business. Watch ya fkn mouth sis. Cryin too much." She continued, claiming "Imma start letting these n***s borrow my dresses after I wear them on a red carpet. Can’t wear it again might as well put it to good use."
As of now, Nipsey has yet to respond, but it's doubtful he will. At the end of the day, people have to move on from the Twitter beefing. It's simply not worth it. What do ya'll think about the public breakup announcement?
