Philly rapper Eve voices her opinion on the allegations that pop diva Beyonce lip-synced during her performance at the Presidential Inauguration.

Just when we thought the controversy surrounding Beyonce's performance at President Obama's inauguration started to subside, another celebrity breathes new life into the lip-syncing scandal.

Many people have voiced their displeasure about the performance when word got out that Beyonce might have used a pre-recorded track as opposed to singing live. Others have been more understanding and took into the consideration the difficulty od singing in the frigid, open outdoors.

Rapper Eve weighs in on the allegations and comes to the defense of the "Single Ladies" singer.

“At this point, if you need to question this girl’s talent, you should just stop,” Eve told the Philadelphia Inquirer. “You should really just never listen to music. We all know the girl can sing. We all know she’s a perfectionist. Why not dot all the i’s and cross the t’s when you know that at any drop of a dime, if somebody asks you to blow, you can blow,” Eve said, adding that there are probably more important things to worry about."

The Marine Band issued a statement shortly after the inauguration admitting they used a pre-recorded track during the performance due to the freezing temperature.

“There was no opportunity for Ms. Knowles-Carter to rehearse with the Marine Band before the Inauguration so it was determined that a live performance by the band was ill-advised for such a high-profile event,” United States Marine Corps. media officer Capt. Gregory A. Wolf said in a statement.“Regarding Ms. Knowles-Carter’s vocal performance, no one in the Marine Band is in a position to assess whether it was live or prerecorded.”

Ian Shepherd, the engineer for the performance, has come forward to say that at least “half” of what we heard was live. “At least half of what we were hearing, if not all, was her real vocal,” Ian Shepherd said in a blog post.

Whether Beyonce sang live or not, it doesn't look like the lip-syncing scandal won't go away just yet."
