Kendrick Lamar kicked off his partnership with Nike earlier this year by releasing two different colorways of the Nike Cortez, including a white "DAMN." rendition and a red "Cortez Kenny" pair. Judging by recent images shared by TDE President Dave Free, there's also a black colorway in the works and it could be releasing as soon as this week.
The newly unveiled Kendrick Lamar x Nike Cortez collab features a black upper accompanied by a red tongue ribbon that stretches from the top of the tongue to the base. Additionally, the kicks are highlighted by a white swoosh to match the heel counter and midsole, and another red tab on the heel.
According to Nice Kicks, TDE's upcoming "The Championship Tour" will include 16 different pop-up shops across the country, six of which will work in partnership with Nike. Those six locations include: NYC (Concepts), LA (Blends), Boston (Bodega), Toronto (Livestock), Chicago (Notre), and Houston (location to be determined).
It is believed that the new Kendrick x Nike Cortez, as well as some matching apparel, will drop sometime during that tour, though release details have not yet been announced.
